Crushing boxes to make space for better.
Over the last five years, I’ve been doing everything I can to work within our Canadian political system, actively engaging in local and provincial politics. Supporting candidates and policies that nurture our communities and the land we call home. Only to come out the other end, truly understanding that the political systems we have are failing.
So moving forward, I’ve made a decision to avoid working in patriarchal hierarchy systems that are propped up by the less than 1% who have 99% of the world’s money. A person’s material wealth doesn’t translate into them being rich in spirit and intention. And don’t get me started on ‘titles’ and tiers of importance and value.
I want to crush the hierarchical structures that no longer serve the greater good and, more importantly, me. And I am going to say ME with pride. There is something about saying this word, even thinking it, that I feel more connected to my body and inner power.
I challenge you to sit in a quiet space, close your eyes, and ask yourself this question: “Who is ME?”
Curious if you had a similar reaction to what my body did. Yes, it is not grammatically correct, but then again, who made the grammar rules? I love to question everything.
Walking my talk, as the ‘president’ of a not-for-profit society, I am leading a process with our volunteers to create a new path based on a matriarchal structure. I want to use this as a playground for testing out ideas and, even more importantly, having fun creating with our team.
And when it comes to planning my second chapter and how I can tie it into how I support myLife customers, I am excited and crushing the boxes we have been indoctrinated into. So I’ll be experimenting with a cyclical system grounded in protecting our most vulnerable and the people we love. I shared this story and inspiration with current myLife customers within the actual pages of my printed and mailed newsletter. It’s easy to get on the list… become a customer and experience more joy you can hold in your hands along with some special surprises inside.
What I love about myLife planning tools is their flexibility. So I’m testing out a cyclical version of the myWeek over the next six months to flush out what works and how I can publish a version for others to try. This stage of my business seems to fit the timing of both building this new system into it, as well as tying into the ‘Fire Horse’ energy beginning February 17, 2026.
I’ve been working intently since the beginning of this year to set myself up for the upcoming year of intense energy, rapid change, bold action, and breakthrough opportunities. With the Horse’s independence and Fire’s passion, innovation, and leadership, I hope it will lead to both great success and potential chaos; it’s a time to be decisive and embrace personal growth while balancing speed with mindfulness to avoid burnout.
What does all this life talk have to do with productivity and planners? I mean, I am here hoping that you will purchase myLife tools after all. It’s like anything ‘goal’ related, you can’t make a plan unless you know where you are going. If you are intrigued to follow along, I just posted my first new episode of Plan for Wonder. You can listen on your favourite podcast app or watch me chat on video.
