JIN SHIN JYUTSU — Daily Self-Help
By Francine L. Brown of Bless This Body
Jin Shin Jyutsu means “The Art of the Creator through the person of compassion.” This healing art is based upon our own natural, innate ability to harmonize ourselves. The essence of Jin Shin Jyutsu is “TO KNOW (HELP) MYSELF.”
“Through Jin Shin Jyutsu our awareness is awakened to the simple fact that all that is needed for harmony and balance with the universe – physically, emotionally, and spiritually – is within myself. Through this awareness, the feeling of complete peace, serenity, security, the oneness within is evident. No person, situation, or thing can take these away from me.” — Mary Burmeister
At Bless this Body we teach Self-Help Jin Shin Jyutsu classes to put your healing in your own hands. Each class will provide you with a wide array of tools to balance and maintain physical, emotional, and mental health. These tools can be used in conjunction with conventional medicine to help yourself. We also offer Jin Shin Jyutsu sessions which will include self-help for you to help maintain and sustain this balance and harmony in your life. Please got to our website to check for upcoming classes or to book a session. http://www.blessthisbody.com/

Main Central Vertical Harmonizing Energy – Source of Life
Our bodies have a primary Source of Energy, like the battery in a car. Just as the turn of a key starts your car, our touch can spark our energetic system by jumper cabling energy, for our hands are the keys. The Main Central Universal Harmonizing Energy corresponds energetically and physically most closely to the spinal column (the most concentrated physical manifestation of energy in vertebrates). As a source, it functions as a master gateway for the twelve body function energies, coordinating general harmony throughout the bodily network of energetic pathways. It is therefore a good idea to keep this flow as “tuned-up” as possible. The following diagram outlines a daily self-help session to balance the Main Central.
Hold the hand positions while “listening” for the harmony in your pulse under your fingertips (you will note, with practice, the slight pulsation at each area–hold the positions until you sense rhythmic, synchronous pulsations in the RIGHT and LEFT hands); imagine energy flowing, down the front (exhale) and up the back (inhale) of your spine.
