Asheville NC holds a special place in our Women Belong heart. It was the first city to host a Circle outside of the Chicagoland area. We spent International Women’s Day there in March of 2020, celebrating women in business, and connecting with nearly 100 female entrepreneurs in the area! A week later we were shut down facing the beginning of the global covid pandemic. Now four and half year’s later Asheville has been hit hard by Hurricane Helene. Homes and businesses have been wiped out. This area is in critical need of our support… especially for the small and women-owned business community. Many in our Women Belong global network have reached out to see how they can help.
Below are resources shared with us by the women in the Women Belong greater Asheville & Hendersonville communities. Please support as you are able.

- Small artisan shop in the mountains, Wilderness Muse, has turned her store into a hub for rescue and relief efforts for the town and mountain areas of Fairview and Fletcher. The road to their store is open but many of the smaller roads are inaccessible. They are buying supplies and driving them with an ATV into the mountains to get into the hands of people who are still cut off. People from that area, when able, are also driving their ATV’s down to get supplies from her store. Cash helps. They will be buying the specific things and distributing them to families still completely cut off. Venmo contact Summer Goon. Put in the notes: “hurricane help.”
