Member Spotlight: Jolie Friedman & Paula Gagerman of JP Partners
Real Estate Is About More Than the House
For Jolie Friedman and Paula Gagerman of JP Partners, real estate has always been about more than buying and selling homes. It’s about understanding what is happening in their clients’ lives, anticipating what they’ll need next, and making what can be an overwhelming transition feel manageable.
As North Shore real estate brokers and certified Senior Real Estate Specialists (SRES®), Jolie and Paula have built their business around a simple philosophy: provide the kind of personal attention, communication, and hands-on support they would want for their own families.
Together, they bring two perspectives, two sets of eyes, and a shared commitment to being there for their clients from the first conversation through closing—and often long after.
A Concierge Approach to Real Estate
No two moves are exactly alike. Some clients are buying their first home. Others are selling the home where they raised their family. Some are helping aging parents determine what comes next, while others are simply trying to coordinate a move while juggling work, children, and everyday life.
JP Partners approaches each situation differently because each client needs something different.
Their goal is to take as much off their clients’ plates as possible. That means helping with the details, maintaining clear and consistent communication, developing a smart strategy, and connecting clients with trusted professionals when additional support is needed.
Over the years, Jolie and Paula have developed a strong local network that includes packing, moving and organizing services, senior care advisors and patient advocates, tradespeople, attorneys, estate planners, lenders, private health advisors and more.
Instead of handing clients a list of names and sending them on their way, they help connect the dots.
A Special Focus on Life’s Bigger Transitions
Becoming Senior Real Estate Specialists was a natural extension of the way Jolie and Paula were already working.
Later-in-life moves often involve much more than a real estate transaction. There may be decades of belongings to sort through, family members involved in decisions, financial and legal considerations, accessibility needs, or questions about independent living, assisted living and other senior living options.
Jolie and Paula understand that these moves require patience, sensitivity and a different level of coordination.
Their role isn’t to have every answer themselves. It’s to know the right questions to ask and to surround their clients with professionals who can help provide the answers.
That collaborative approach allows JP Partners to serve not only seniors who are considering a move, but also adult children who may suddenly find themselves helping a parent navigate a transition they’ve never encountered before.
Two Realtors. One Team.
One of the things Jolie and Paula value most about their partnership is that their clients truly get both of them.
They collaborate on strategy, communicate constantly and make sure someone is available when their clients need them. Their complementary personalities and perspectives allow them to problem-solve together while still providing a highly personal experience.
And while they take their work seriously, they believe relationships matter just as much as transactions.
For Jolie and Paula, success isn’t simply getting to the closing table. It’s having a client walk away feeling informed, supported and confident that someone was looking out for them throughout the process.
Rooted in the North Shore
As local North Shore real estate professionals, Jolie and Paula bring extensive knowledge of the communities they serve along with the resources of JP Partners, The Wexler Gault Group and @properties Christie’s International Real Estate.
The Wexler Gault Group was the #1 team in Highland Park and Deerfield in sales volume for 2025, according to MRED data cited in JP Partners’ materials.
But for Jolie and Paula, the numbers are only part of the story.
What matters most is becoming a trusted resource—whether someone is ready to move today, beginning to think about a future transition, needs a recommendation for a local professional, or simply has a real estate question.
That philosophy fits naturally with the Women Belong community: relationships first, trusted connections, and women supporting women in both business and life.
